This is Owen Habel Lwanda and he is a very talented poet that I met on G+ not too long ago. His poems are generally short, somber and very moving. I love his style. Click on his picture below to visit his site. I have posted one of his poems underneath the photograph. THE UNEXPECTED by OWEN HABEL LWANDA
When darkness finally crept
I put a slow song on my
Playlist and slept
There was a heavenly feeling from the song that
Played next
I then started dreaming
I heard something hissing
But the hiss sounded like
Two people kissing
I leaked my lips
I heard something hissing
But the hiss sounded like
Two people kissing
I leaked my lips
There was warmth in my
Neck
A soft touch tickled my legs
It was a snake!!!!
I opened my mouth to
Scream
But its head muscled its
Way into my wet mouth
it coiled its tail round my
Waste
Then..... then.... then....
my dream came to
An end
Neck
A soft touch tickled my legs
It was a snake!!!!
I opened my mouth to
Scream
But its head muscled its
Way into my wet mouth
it coiled its tail round my
Waste
Then..... then.... then....
my dream came to
An end
My Commentary:
I mean this is exactly what I am talking about with his style. I JUST read this poem right before I posted it and I thought it was going to be a sensual and sweet poem and then it took this unexpected and yet beautiful turn for the worse. He's truly gifted.
P.S. LOL I just reviewed the title of the piece and it fits my comment.
thanks lola
